Looking for a good Movie
Posted by Unknown
In looking for a good movie last night I strolled upon the American Film Institutes list of Inspirational Movies (2006). I have to admit I haven't seem most of them including Casablanca. I decided that rather then renting a movie that inspires nothing that I'd slowly go through this list one at a time. Some are rather old and the rental companies don't even have them in stock. However I'm sure you can find them somewhere. Here are the first 10.
1. It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
2. To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)
3. Schindler's List (1993)
4. Rocky (1976)
5. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939)
6. E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
7 The Grapes of Wrath (1940)
8 Breaking Away (1979)
9 Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
10 Saving Private Ryan (1998)

No Sound of Music?
SO,I've actually seen a lot of them. BTW, don't watch it, just because its on a list, if you wouldn't watch it for other reasons. African Queen is grat though.
Sound of Music is number #41. The AFI has a list of 100 best and sound of music is number 15.
Wow, movies I've actually watched. Not all of them of course, but most of the newer stuff say the last 10 years I haven't really seen. Now if you want to talk classics, I'm in:)
So which movie did you actually pick to watch from here this time?
