Peaches Anyone

Posted by Unknown

So I have gone and done something I never have done before.   I canned peaches!  And of course the first thing I learned is canning has nothing to do with cans but rather bottles.  If you have ever read the book cold mountain (or seen the movie for that matter) I feel exactly like Ada Monroe.  No knowledge of farming, picking, harvesting and a little frazzled but through patience and now experience, I'm now ready for winter.  It was fun and reminds me of my apple pickin' days last year in California.  Granted it was only half a bushel, seven jars, and one peach pie later but I feel enlightened.  Now, to only learn to make peach jelly as good as the guy at the farmers market.  It can be done and now I'm off to conquer the world.  Any knowledge to bestow upon me would be greatly appreciated.
