Movie Night Friday

Posted by Dori Nottingham

I don't like to watch football, basketball or for that matter any sport. However we all seem to love the sports movies that inspire. You know the ones. Like, Remember the Titans, Rudy, and Invincible. The victory and defeat in these movies tend to draw us in and encourage us at some personal level.

I had never heard of the movie Pride before and it totally falls along with lines. Based on a true story of hope and courage to do what nobody dreamed possible. It's a good movie, good morals, and If I remember right even made me laugh a few times. It's a good movie for the whole fam-damly.

Based on true events PRIDE is the inspiring story of Jim Ellis a charismatic schoolteacher in the 1970s who changed lives forever when he founded an African-American swim team in one of Philadelphia s roughest neighborhoods.
